New RS500 Style splitter turned up at the weekend from Ian Heron, Got it fitted last night. I've got to say the quality and fitment is perfect would definatly reccomend these over the other ones on ebay. Comes in satin black gel coat too so no need to paint and keep touching up stone chips
Have you got a link?
Cheers Rich

Finally managed to squeeze a trip to Blink Motorsport in to have the suspension set up. drives much nicer now. it was quite scary entering a corner with any speed before, it was toeing out on the rear and too much toe in on the front, so it basically wanted to go in circles
The caster on the front is a bit imbalanced, even though the eccentric top mounts are set the same.
I will probably change to 3dr hubs at some point so ill maybe look into it further then.

Hard to believe bar the Cosworth bolt on bits, it's all pretty much original paint!
It's come up really nicely today...

Well the plastic bits in the engine bay have always annoyed me, the cam covers for these small turbo heads seem to be few and far between and i can't bring myself to pay for carbon fibre. The turbo heat sheild was always grey, if you put any tyre black etc. on it would look great for 2 mins then it would soak it up and back to grey
So after discussing it with Chris i decided to try some crackle black on them.
It turned up today so it was straight out in the garage for a play
Quite pleased with the outcome, just got to see how well it sticks to the plastic....

I must say its looking really well
I want to give my timing belt cover a coat as it has a few marks down the side that won't come off.
Did it take to the plastic ok?

The paint still looks perfect. I even managed to get brake fluid over the heat shield and it hasn't marked it.
I gave the plastic a food rough up with some sandpaper before painting to give it a good key, and wiped it down with some thinners.
Thanks to Chris for yesterday. It's cleaned up great. Gonna give the inside a good clean today and another coat of wax.
I wouldn't normally be using it at this time of year but a mate is getting married next weekend and wants me to drive him and the other best man to the church in the saph.
Once the wedding is out of the way, and I've finished redoing the kitchen I'll crack on with getting this ecu fitted.
Few more pics from yesterday

New brakes have arrived.
300mm rear conversion, and 320 fronts with compbrake pro race 7 calipers. (Actually a porsche brembo caliper)
Calipers are new, and the discs and brackets are from ridgey as he's gone up a size front and rear.
Rear calipers were all refurbed during the rebuild so are ready to go with d's 2500s fitted.
I've got a set of hawk hps pads for the front. Prices are very reasonable compared to others, and they get great reviews online so we will see how we get on.
Just got to figure out what's best to do with the brake lines.
Got to pull my finger out soon and get this ecu fitted and bolt the brakes on.

Well I finally made a start on the new brakes and ECU replacement.
Had the front bells anodised, They didn't do coloured finishes so they are a satin aluminium finish, looks nice, but then I realised the rears wouldn't match so I'm now waiting for the rears to be done too
Mocked up the fronts. Fits ok behind the Hocks but still need a 5mm spacer, which is fine as that's et35
Then I pulled out the standard engine loom and ignition system.
Old coil vs. New
Then I cut the back out of the glove box, so its basically just a flap now.
The gave a bit of space to mount a aluminium plate behind and then mount the new ECU and fuse box.
Hopefully spend a bit of time on it this weekend, want to get the new coil mounted up and start laying out the loom.

New coil mounted,
New Siemens 83s fitted
and the new ECU and fuse box in position
Also spent quite a bit of time drawing up the wiring diagram for the new engine loom, which keeps getting bigger and bigger as i decide to incorporate more stuff. I'll post it up tomorrow when its finished then hopefully this week i can wire up the fuse box and start actually building the loom.
Only thing i haven't yet sorted is HT leads. Anyone know of anywhere online you can order custom ones easily? if not i'll ask Chris at EFI Parts who will be doing the mapping if he can make me up a set.

Didn't end up starting the wiring today, but did get a bit of time to make a mount for the ABS control unit.
Took the CDF Racing mount off the L8 and bolted it to a piece of 3mm ally riveted to the original mount that used to clip to the top of the ECU.
Also got a new set of indicators as the glass fell off mine the other day.
Chris convinced me to remove the orange filters before I fit them, I'll order some chrome covered bulbs that flash orange.
