I will post some pics of the bay when I get a moment. It uses Escort Cosworth front and rear suspension and it's not an easy job, only one Mondeo mechanical part was used and that was the water header tank! Non of the Escort parts bolted on...I might as well have done a different make car as there were no similarities at all.

Thanks, James
good question with no answer
It's a std Mondeo shell, I'm sure the 4x4 version is not that much different anyway. Everything is fabricated, no Sierra fllorpan here
Awesome!!
Best of luck with it Martin!
James!

(edited to say floor looks factory and new paint looks good!)

Ive still got the mag upstairs somewhere.

That car became the twin engined Renault 5, but at the time of the shoot had the normal layout.

Would adequate power and a bit of fun be maybe enough to perhaps contest a certain record?

And hence ruffle some perhaps grey coloured "feathers"?

Hmmmmm.......

Still one of my fave Fast fords of all time,i even prefer it to Martins esc cos ..maybe because it wasn't something you could just buy from the showroom...or maybe it was because it was something you wish you could buy from a Ford showroom!

Infact Martin showed Ford what they could have made if the number crunchers at Ford didn't run the show!!

Also its nice to see a "past master" still surving in 07 and ready to mix it with the best of them...i can't wait to see it finished, hopefully a tastefull mag feauture is in on the cards....this car deserves it!
