Default Escort RS Turbo cabriolet project

As the winter has now come and there is nothing to do at night i thought i would take on a project. Ive always wanted another cabby since i had one when i was 18. I saw a H reg red one for sale at 150 and after looking around it bought it. The only rust it had was on the battery tray and its very minimal. My mate was also selling a escort rs turbo cabby for 600 quid so i had that too.

Me and my mate spent mon, tues and wed of this week stripping the turbo

Angle grinder worked a treat on the rotten front end

And this is how it was sent to the scrappy on wed night.

Came in very handy as a skip to dump the bits out of the other cabby.

I had already stripped the red one before the turbo arrived and was pleasently supprised at how clead the floor was considering it had been leaking through the knackard roof.

Engine bay all cleaded and ready for turbo engine

Been busy buying other goodies to

Will update with some more pics of the red one as i find time to get in the garage without freezing to death.

Im in need of a suspension kit which will enable me to fit 17's if anyone has one then please let me know.

Let me know what you think and your comments.

Also spent a bit of time putting some of the engine components back in so the bay is starting to take shape a little now
