Default project flea pit

bearing in mind I am an electrician with no mechanical training.
I bought the car off a friend who took it in px for a scooby (some dont have a clue) Driving it back, stalled it, wouldnt start.... called r kid who is a golf freak for a tow back after a load of gloating, suspecting the alarm at fault, reason for the stall was a worn clutch, after many hours of towing backfrom outings, found out it was a bad earth so wouldnt start when hot, took it in to a garage had a new standard clutch fitted and the wiring sorted (crimp, scotch locks and strip connectors all removed and soldered then heat shrinked and taped up) drove spot on, also had a bleed valve with a seat bolt instead of the original in it removed. Car doing great. Got alarm fitted. Fell for a stupid bint who went from 3rd full chat into 2nd and wrecked the box. Got a box then it all started from there, decided to sort it fully and have it done right, well i was going to do it! Replaced the box, put a paddle clutch in and a B&M quickshift
job that needs doing has to be done well so poly bushes ordered and fitted along with adj t/c arms. then found 2 holes in drivers side floors one at the front the other being the seat mounting at the rear so new floors all round

trusty mini mig!
fuel leak prompted removal of tank

ordered the wrong one though, small sender needed!
discovered a water leak making the sound proofing stink like a skunk wedding, traced back to a shoddy weld on a batt tray

but dash is out now and found a place to rest

removing the kit as it was siliconed on and looked a twat, gone over the top but it got to be right..

fingers hurt now so an update later this week, still interested who owned it before, was a wakefield car
