SLR ran out of batteries and it started raining but here are a couple of iphone pics;

I've got mucho work to do before FF, on Tuesday the car goes back for the wheels to be done, may be going different to black depending on price . Btw, I don't mean any extreme colourations, not my style ha. *Irony lol.

Also, I doubt I'll have time for the calliper refurb which is a great shame as I have the decals etc. Instead I've got to re-do my fog surrounds. I couldn't believe they forgot to do them but didn't have time to mess around.

The prep re-starts now. Well, when the weather improves! Hopefully my under tray will arrive in time from Poland, oh and my DMB plate! I have also got to get replacement LED fogs as they have already started filling with condensation despite fitting them correctly. Me' jesus.

I ramble ramble ramble in the morning.

Also, every time I go up my drive I have to give the car the red carpet treatment lol!

Here is one of the rear at the petrol station after picking it up.

This is the side where the scratch was on the rear bumper;

The match of the paint isn't bad, better than it was from Ford, maybe not 100% perfect in some lights but definitely a great improvement.

At least you're happy with it.

Doubt most people could tell the difference. No one could tell on mine till I pointed it out.

That's the only down side of the colour.

Great motor though. Love it.

The original ford job was very out compared but not the worst I've seen. You're right though no one has ever mentioned the match before to me. So these should go pretty the same way. I'm much happier with the car now.

Cheers dude

Cheers Ryan tbf he has done a good job he did say there will always be a slight difference due to the obvious age of the rest of the paint but also how the paint reacts with the plastics but it's a good job so I'm happy enough!

I don't blame you, can't do it all at once! if mine wasn't lacquer peel and just chips I'd have left it for a while longer. I really want some Ksports but I need block mod and RS clutch first!

Congratulations on your FF feature btw I can't remember if I said. Shame they didn't put 180 on the end of 206 gti lol! Funny how we have both had great 180s and now STs!

Car looks stunning mate but don't spoil it with black wheels, every man and his dog have black wheels. Keep them standard for the clean fresh look. If you have to change the colour of them go for something totally different but just not black or any other colour based on black.

They're going to be diamond cut depending on how quick they can be done mate. I know what you're saying I don't particularly like black wheels, however on the orange they do go well and I've been rocking stock silver since day one. I quite fancy a change, as the plastics etc are gloss black I can't really opt for anthracite as it might look out of place.

Cheers for the comment I'll update later when I've spoken to the man to see what is possible .

So, Fordfair finally over. It was a bit of an anti climax this year but it was still a good day.

On to the car, I've spent a shed load on it and got it mint. These past few weeks really have been testing but it's been worth it.*

I'll grab some proper pictures soon but for now these will do,

@ something like 9 on Saturday evening, I got up at 5;30 am on Saturday and went straight out to the car, I ended up being happy with it by 11 ish knowing I had a qd sesh at the begining of the show to fall back on if I'd managed to miss anything. Anything that could be reached was removed in the bay, hardly any noticeable grime on show which left me feeling great.

Tunnel vid lol;

I didn't manage to get any pictures at the show as I forgot my SLR*but a friend took a few for me on his phone. These were taken prior to the qd.

& a final SLR pic from when I got home, after 150+ miles not a drop of qd.

The wheels are as close to standard as I wanted to get. They have been powder coated, with black insides, black base coat and high gloss silver added to the mix to give a darker appearance to stock and also retain some of that stock look. At night time the alloys look almost chromed, they go very dark and glossy and have a shadow effect to them similar to the shadow chrome wheels I had on my old 206.

Morning guys,

I purchased my entrance pic to FF I don't usually bother but why not lol

Unsure why the grille pictured that way must be exposure or the gloss black behind makes it look dirty when it was anything but haha.

Thanks mate, sorry I haven't been on here for a while. I'm much happier with the car now but I was bricking it, tbh you'll find most EO's are out on the bumpers it's more about how noticeable it is. In some lights I think these may be out but the paint is very tricky and at certain angles / lighting they all end up looking different so it's pretty hard to actually tell unless it's really obvious.

Wee update;

I'd like to applogise in advance for this video, I was testing out iMovie on my phone again and got carried away. You can't get the 7 minutes back if you watch it so just a pre warning lol.

Also some up to date pics;

Flash pic to show the glitter;

Also finally the original Ford battery was on it's last legs after 8 years of use so I switched it out for a new one.

Progress will be slow over the up coming winter months as I have a holiday in October and numerous family birthdays.

My next plans are RS clutch, block mod, RS injectors and possibly a new map that's been released by Collins 'CP340' a few cars have made 340+ so far which is quite impressive. I'm just waiting to see some independent results on the map as I'm already at what's probably considered 'stage' 3+.

Thanks for reading

Haha is that how people get features? I thought they just scout them on forums or something, sounds odd but I don't want to have to ask for one I want it to be worthy without any sort of help if you catch me? And thanks mate I appreciate it .

On another note she's booked in to auto specialists on the 14th for an RS clutch and flywheel conversion (finally) only been slipping for like monnnnths! Also I'm having the symposer cold side delete pipe which means my chav valve will be off too. I like the valve as it sounds old school to me but well since I've had the venom fitted I can't even hear it so it's had it lol! Plus it doesn't actually do anything on the performance side bar make it pop and bang more often so it must be overfueling from it.

Yeah that's what I did but I sent them like aaaaaaaages ago months and months ago the car wasn't the same spec it is now.

I like your style with the car. It's very OEM+ well thought out. Some go overboard with hydro graphics it's just not my thing. I don't mine the carbon look but you know those skulls and stuff but I guess that's the beauty of individuality haha.

Ah well if it happens it happens I'm not in a rush but before I stop modifying I'd like one lol. This will most probably be the last car I play I've spent way too much over the years on my old cars. My 180 is still on my drive rocking the turinis I spent nearly Ł1500 on including tyres a month or so before getting my ST back lol!

Im sure they are on here somewhere so maybe a message will sort it out?

Thanks mate, fuel bills are big if you have a lead foot. I didn't even go near mad this weekend and managed near on Ł60 on fuel lol.

So last weekend it was finally time for the clutch conversion ... got up, jumped in the bean can and off to Autospecialists. I also got the cold side symposer dumper delete pipe and I had the inserts to my torque mount changed to the purple (harder) ones as yellow was too soft.

First impressions on the clutch are awesome. I wish I'd had it done far sooner. They make a huge difference. I can actually use the power. I miss the chav valve now for the bangs I could do with just a dab of the throttle but I'm over it. It still makes them just probably when it should. I guess it shows how out the air/fuel mixture is or something far too technical for my brain to comprehend lol.

Wee vid of the exhaust

Since my last update I became sad...

Feeling special I decided to mess around with it lol...

Lol it's not perfect but I may revisit it and do a better job another day haha.

As of today;

Nothing too exciting but I cleaned the car last weekend.

Also just booked my car in for block mod on Tuesday at AS and I'm also having a Turbosmart actuator supplied and fitted at the same time. At least at that stage I know all I need are the 440cc injectors and either XRS or CP340 to finish the car.

I'm also ordering some Goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric 3 early next week.

Thought I may as well give a wee update;

So like a month back I took my car in to Autospecialists for block mod and TurboSmart actuator.

Car seems quicker pulls harder for longer and quicker at this stage which was great.

I then replaced my Zunsport grill badge with a metal Dreamscience one and added one to the AS ecu cover. I also took it to Halfords to have some GY Eagle F1 Assy 3's fitted. Full set obviously. Now before anyone says it I chose Halfords for a reason I expected my alloys to be damaged in the process of fitting because I just don't trust anyone with my car lol. Sure enough they did it but was made aware they were mint before and thus had to get them all refurbed at a place of my choice (the place I had them done previously). (see later in the thread for the pics of the change).

After this I thought I'd purchase a 3" Elevate top induction pipe to replace the 2.76 mm stock part. I normally only purchase new items but saw an auction on fleebay which also included a Group A induction kit... As the pipe is Ł200 odd new I thought if I got it for around 240-250 I could sell the group A to offset and get the pipe cheaper...

The pipe was wrapped in some shite gold heat wrap see pics what a fooking nightmare that was!

After this I used metal polish and some compound to remove any scratches / unsightliness.. Using the metal polish on the painted part (silver) darkened the*finish almost similar in different lights to the shadow chrome finish I have to my wheels.I was going to have it powder coated but I'm actually pleased with the look.

After a failed attempt to fit the pipe myself I took it to Autospecialists to do the job. It was extremely tight and tbh I was just leaning over the engine bay without removing the scuttle etc and couldn't see what I was doing lol!!

& at home some quick pics.

I may add some stickers to it unsure yet.

& one final picture so you can see the wheels/ bay.

All together I'm rather happy with it's performance now. As always there is a list of mods I'd like which are... Elevate boost solenoid, 440cc injectors and XRS map.

Below is the current performance mods engine wise.

Engine performance ;

Cheers pal

Latest update, went to Dreamscience for hybrid Turbo last month after a string of boost issues.. obviously sorted it with more power right. Duh.

Also switched my Pumaspeed inlet to an Anembo Item and got a steering wheel lock.

Nice early morning drive got to DS at half 7 ish lol..

Outside DS

I went a little sad with this one, I got this apple car play pioneer unit from my lovely girlfriend for Christmas so the obligatory Dreamscience wallpaper was made for the turbo x package.

Pic of the hybrid, had to sell on my turbo smart items as Dreamscience use forge actuator and recirc.

back home

Last one looking pretty while off walking in the woods lol.

Apologies for picture quality i'll get some pictures with my SLR soonish.

In terms of power it's now anywhere from 350-370 bhp with over 400lbft. Pulls a lot better now lol.
