The 3 door is mine

Story goes bought it blew the engine up left it for ages the decided to fix it

So built a engine new gaskets turbo etc stage 3 then the cam belt tensioner nut came off (wrong nut)

16 valves, a new nut proper nut and a new HG later it was mixing water and oil the block was sound no cracks head was fine as it went in the shop to be built ported etc

So done another HG change just to be safe and its still mixing so its slung in a field out of my way for now lol

Only other places the two can mix if they're fooked is the oil cooler or the turbo...

easier said than done with rarer fords imop mate...FRST is a prime example, there is F-all about for em(i know as mines sat for 3yrs ) and i cant bare to sell an tbh deal with chav bellends offering me Ł50 an a frog if i wait 12 weeks for said frog to clear customs.

Then if an when parts do come up its a case of price/justification...

so i would rather leave it sit than be insulted as what it needs is knowledge to fix it and if you have the knowledge(i have the relevant for its needs)its a doddle an worth its money but thats bits and cash permitting of course...

1, nobody will ever tell you where these cars are, i wouldnt want my cars known and neither would you

2, quoting pictures is the most fuckin annoying thing ever to be done on forums, dont be an idiot, remove some text from the pic if needed, people will know the pic but not waste time looking at it and saves bandwidth for photobucket so pics dont dissappear

I drove past a place I have driven past many, many times and in the last few weeks they have cut the 40 foot high trees around a house down and cut the grass. In the garden I deffo saw a 2 door MK1 Escort (which was black but green with moss), a Widearched XR2 (couldn't tell if MK1 or 2 as was doing 40ish MPH past) and I *think* a MK4 Cortina along with a few other cars. I couldn't stop, but will be going up maybe tomorrow to knock the door as it appears they are tidying the place up. I want the MK1 Escort.

Shame about that mk1 escort. But i think a lot of these cars have a huge sentimental value to the owners and they probably think to themselves that they will either use it or restore it one day. Maybe with some of the older cars, their owners have past away and the other half doesent want to let them go and they sit and rot. There is usually an intersting story behind most of the cars.

The mk1 and mk2 xr2 in the 1st pic are mine, an so are the mk3 xr3, mk2 xr2 and xr3i cabby in the pics further down unfortunately all my funds are taken up on my s2 restoration at the min hence why there sitting there as for the mk1 xr2 she needs a lot of work but runs perfect!
