Youll get bored of riding a 600 that has cost a grand as it will be a shitbox mate.
Look at it this way, bike prices are great, if you get bored youll hardly lose, if any, a penny!

I dont like the gsx600f, If you want a suzuki buy a gsxr, Or something like I have a Yamaha yzf600r thundercat, Ive had mine 5 years now and was my very first legal bike on the road, very comfy bike and still does 150 mph plus, even better when i fitted a double bubble screen and better exhaust, That'll be for sale soon once Ive re mot'd it and put new tyres and brake hoseson it, Going for some stainless braided ones i think, very good brakes on these too as they are the same as R1 brakes

Yeh but if we all liked the the same things the world would be a shit place.
Personally im not into the whole head down arse up scene. But think the guys only looking for a cheap run around for around 1k to see if he likes it and personally if i bought a gsxr for 1k don't think it would be in that great a nick no matter what age it is.

if you're not to tall and heavy, you should think about getting a 400 sports bike as a first bike, it will teach you everything you need to know, wont lose a penny in value and if you decide you want to step up, will be easy to sell,
