I'm not surprised. Even regular Sierras are going up in price dramatically and it doesn't make any sense why.

The reason is if they are mint then in time they will be proper classics. They will never get to the value of a mint xr4i,saff cosworth etc but they will still be a good investment to sit on. Old fords are better than money in the bank if they are looked after properly

Pretty much anything pre 1994 except escort cosworths, the mid nineties weren't good for ford as crippling insurance meant nobody could insure a hot hatch.
There are a few like the fiesta rs1800 but they aren't skyrocketing like pre 90's fords,xr and rs range specifically.

Thats unbeliveable.. 50 grand!
I bet alot of the fella's on here have minters like that, only with a few more miles on them eh..

I just sold a mint 86 2.8 capri here in New Zealand for 25K NZD so about 12k GBP. Suprised myself.

They love their old fords out here.. I will hold on to my Sapphire Cossie for a bit now i think

Trouble is that car will be seen by some people who live under a rock and aren't on forums ect and just assume that's what their worth when in reality it's been posted all over the net getting laughed at.

The new price just makes me laugh

Do you think this place where it is now for sale actually paid the Ł50k that it "sold" for and are thinking to put another Ł20k on it for a quick profit? Surely no one will pay Ł70k for it!!!!!
