Granada/Sierra Electric Sunroof

you just need to make sure that you get everything from the granada/sierra donor as most folk forget the panel the motor bolts to
the earlier sierra's also don't have enough space to fit the motor into so you need to chop a bit out
also you need to run the power via the electric window loom as you don't want to be running it from the lighting circuit so you'll need to fish out the wires through the a pillar

Best pic I can find but the fine splines are just about noticeable here.
I know nothing about the Granada, but the Sierra sunroof changed to fine teeth with the swoopy dash, so in 1991. Not sure if there were electric sunroofs in the Sierra before that, but I took the cog from a Granada motor to make mine work. However, it is as slow as sin and it won't pop the roof up at all, even after greasing the winding cables so open to any helpful tips.

now there are some pics up it should be much easier to explain
the winders on the 89/90 soec cars have corse/fine splines so you need to find out the splines you need to match up to your car first
you can then get the bits you need, i've got 3 motors in my garage just doing nothing if you want bits (just got to find them)
for those who have sticking glass, it may be that the actual glass is jammed if it doesn't go up, pop the glass out of the appeture by winding it back and then clean the metalwork around where the roof and glass panel meet, especially at the rear, as this is what normally causes it

One more thing to check is the rubber seal that goes around the glass.
At the back is where the join is (u can see it from the outside), over time it can swell, manually it still works as u can put more force on it.
Try pushing the back of the glass up from inside and down from outside while pressing the button in the appropriate direction.
