I bought a 1993 escort mk5b 3 door a few weeks back for £400....fair price for the car i think. nice condition and whatever, tinted windows, wolfrace wheels n yoko tyres....gmax springs all round .... only thing is, when i park up on a curb it doesnt start after 10-20 minutes. i have to park on a flat surface or it just turns till the battery is flat. anyone got any ideas?
i was thinking it might just be a case of gettin the fuel lines replaced as ive done everything else to it in the last 2 weeks. and also it is using alot of fuel, as thinking there may be a very slight fuel leak somewhere.
any help will be massively appreciated as i am hoping to make this my next project,( i want to put a bigger engine in and a cossie body kit in pacifica blue) will take a while but ill do it even if it kills me :P

Yes, don't park on the curb

It could be a fueling problem mate, I'm sure someone will be along soon who could perhaps be of more help

my 306 used to do that, never knew or found out why, hence why when the MOT ran out we smashed it up sold all the good bits off it and cut it up with a grinder and weighed it in , was a rare S16 model too !

lol... im not really willing to do that though. like isaid this is my next project and i am planning on spending a good few grand on this xcar in the next year or so ...
