I couldn't see it in the Cosworth Specials 1 > 6 but I have got the Fast Ford it was in....along with the story about it being stolen if that's the issue you mean?

I had a quick look through versions 1-> 6 at the weekend but couldn't see it - I may well have missed it though so if he knows what edition it's in I can look again with special eyes. Tend to think ( as someone else said ) the article I've seen was just in a normal issue which I have in the loft somewhere

It was '97, or '98 I think? I can't remember. I do remember us getting told off by the boss though, as he'd paid to have the car valeted for the show stand then we played silly buggers racing bikes and other Cossies all the way there and got it covered in crap.
Was quite weird in the queue to get in though. We thought it was the only British Racing Green three-door Cossie, and when we got in the line for the gate, we stopped next to another one! No idea what ever happened to that one though.
I still kick myself for not buying E500 FLY. The guy that owned it back then, not Mark, the next owner, also worked at Aladdin and offered it to me for a VERY good price, but I was only just 18 and couldn't justify the insurance. A standard three-door cost me over £2k a year, there was no way I was going to spend any more. Sooo gutted
Still, at least it's got a good home now. I would have no doubt spanked it in to a tyre wall at some circuit or another by now

The article I have found (just ) with it in is in Fast Ford and it's on 17" Borbet C alloys. There is a clipping in the article about it being nearly stolen on Tuesday March 18th 1997.
Can't see any pics though of Aladdin's other cars so it might not be the right article?

Have you by any chance had the pic scanned? I'd love to see it. Was that when Ford Fair was at Cornbury Park?

Nope, Kelvin was my boss. Taught me everything I know! Great bloke and one of the very best friends I've ever had, although I've not seen him in ages. I must make the effort to get over there.
Do you know him then?
Mark sold the three-door to Darren when he started building the purple Escort Cossie (another legendary car!). He was the painter in the bodyshop. It was him that offered it to me.
