tyres for 17 inch wheels
I am having my 3 door set up to use on track days and have uprated the shocks, springs and brakes. The previous owener fitted some (fairly garish) 17" alloys but had extremely low profile tyres which just got lost in the arches.
I don't know about anyone else but I have always thought that the 3 door suffered a little on the std wheels from an appearance point of view (especially by todays standards) as the wheels just looked lost in the arches, especially at the rear.
I am going to order some Toyo semi slicks (which I have on another trackday car and are a very good tyre) but wondered if anyone knows of the best size that I can fit on 17s without fouling the arches. There is certainly more clarance at the rear compared to the front.
