Default Dohc Turbo Advice

Hollo ,I`m allmost done turbocharging my daily sierra.
I`ve build my own custom exhaust manifold, downpipe and an inteke elbow in wich fitted 2 200cc injectors.
2.0 Dohc non cat. It`s running at 5 psi.
It is working allmost ok,i have some small isues but nothing to bad.

I need some advice.

What sparkplugs should i use?
At this pressure do I need to use an intercooler?
Do I need to chenge the oil type?10W40 running now.
Maybe bigger oil filter?

Tnx.

Are you retarding spark and fouling map signal to ecu so it dosn't see boost and goes into LOS?

yes and yes. I`ve build a frequency filter so the car doesn`t enter LOS an retarding ignition using the octane adjustement wires.

5psi is not a lot but intercooler is very important to avoid knocking issues due to high intake temps. The smaller the turbo is, higher temperatures you will have. The best would be to install a temp sensor before throotle and monitor with your arduino and a screen.

If you can find a cheap IC in junkyard I would install it. The problem on DOHC is that you will need to mount it below water rad.(or in front but pipes below)

About sparks, my dohc turbo engines were good with at least denso ik22 (or colder, as IK20 is STD heat grade). From ik22 you have less gap, so good for your distributor and turbo.
I also have no problems with NGK bkr8eix.

Oil filter no problem for me. I'm thinking about installing water/oil cooler like Cosworth engines.

Oil I would go with bigger hot number. I've used a lot 5w50. Now I'm with motul competition 15w50. It's expensive but I don't daily drive it.

Do you have wideband EGO?

I ran a 2wd cossie cooler and rad on mine as it's easy to fit. I had some pipes made up for the rad as the top and bottom hoses are the opposite way around on the cossie rad.
