Hi guys is it ok to run the offside front driveshaft without the circlip fitted as mine snapped when removing. If not I'll go and try and get another clip

Mine has not had 1 in for 10 yrs & it's been fine, I tried 2 get 1 when I did a underside resto & fitted a diff plate, but no 1 had 1????? & most the people I spoke to said they hadn't got 1...? I was told the if used really hard in a corner it may pop out!!!!!

I believe the other side doesn't even have one, so I can't see it being a problem. And if something pops out I believe it's the inner CV joint and not the actual driveshaft.

I managed to get another clip from local fastener place so fitted that.
