Default escos running lean?

Hi guys my mate has just asked me to post as he's not a member. He has just done the head gasket on his car and fitted an inlet plenum spacer (think its 14mm) the car is now running lean on his afr gauge but was ok before the head gasket was changed. Is it possible the spacer has knocked the fuelling out this much? Its running standard cams with verniers but he has some standard cam pulleys to put on to rule the cam timing out as the heads been stripped and reassembled by an engine shop and he's unsure if the verniers have been moved. Ive told him to take it and have it set up properly instead of trying to guess but any suggestions welcome. Thanks nick.

Is it a ST car - if so look for air leaks after the AFM.

I think jsa is referring to ST as being a small turbo escos as opposed to a BT for big turbo.

First mistake is trusting an incar AFR gauge. Take the car to a proper tuner with a proper gauge.
