Timing
Probably been covered before but I'm looking to time up my 3dr's engine after its re-build. Having never done it before is there an idiots guide someone can show me, I'm nervous about getting something wrong! At the moment the cams are only loosly in place with the cam sprocket arrows facing directly up and before fitting the head I set all the pistons mid stroke to ensure I didn't do any damage when putting the head on.
Cheers

There is a picture on here but in words...
The arrows on the cam pulleys should FACE each other and line up with the bottom of the cam cover, so at the moment yours are way out!
The crankshaft pulley lug nearest the v notch should line up with a metal flange off the engine and the rotor arm should be at the 2 o clock position, the aux pulley also has a mark which should line up.
Remember after timing check check and check again, and turn the engine over by hand to make sure.
