Hi,

I am going to re cable my heavy duty alternator power cable, as others have done this in the past, I am just wondering if anyone knows the length of replacement cable I would need and also the size of the ring connector on the battery (I know the alternator end's size).

At a glance I am thinking 2 metres but if anyone could clarify that would be great.

I think I got 1.45mtrs or 1.75mtrs from a battery place once a couple years ago when I did mine. I think 2mtrs will be enough I think. I routed mine behind the bulkhead along the windscreen washer lines clip bits if that makes sense. Don't know the battery ring size I'm afraid as I use new rounded terminals

Battery bolts are m6 so a 6.5mm hole will clear no problem

I only get .10V difference so I may well leave it, but at least now I have the info should I go ahead in the future.
