Default Sapphire Headlight problems

Ok as stated ...
ive got a problem with my headlights .
with the ignition on.
side lights work fine .pos 1
when u turn them on to dip theres no dip lights pos2
if you pull the flash the main beam flashes
but if you push the stalk to hibeam you get nothing again
the switch buzzes out fine and all the wiring seems ok
ive tested for voltage at the relays and the relays seem to be ok
this really is annoying me now
any ideas ....

Sounds like the switch is broken. Or you may be lucky and it'll just be dirty contacts. Easy to get to though so that's a bonus.

Sidelights work regardless of ignition, headlights you need position 2 of ignition (This applies to nearly all Fords), the headlights need to work for the permanent main beam position on the indicator stalk to work, so I would first check to see if power is making it to the bulb and then check the bulb, both dipped and main bulb use the same "Halogen" bulb.

Can you hear the relay "Click" when you turn the headlight switch on WITH the ignition on?
