Evening all,

My Sapphire has had a 2wd conversion by the previous owner
Im still learning about the in's and out's of this and what has been changed altogether. Here and now, im not happy with the current suspension setup and looking to change. I am going for Koni's and probably the rated Ahmed springs. Thats where I need some advise please.

1: Would I have 2wd suspension or 2wd on my setup?
2: Whats the difference?! How would I identify?!!
3: What would be the optimum drop be on a saph on Koni's with 18" comps?

Ive seen many sapphire cosworths on here with 18" comps which I really like the look of in terms of setup.

Would be very greatful if you could post your car with setup pleeeeeease

The Ahmed springs are the same for 2wd and 4x4. The rear shocks are also the same but the fronts are different. Which type you need depends on how it was converted to 2wd. If it still has the 4x4 knuckles you need the 4x4 shocks. If it has 2wd hubs you need the 2wd shocks.

iirc the rear dampers are different width where they bolt to the trailing arm, and the front dampers are different diameter where they fit into the hub assembly.

All Cosworth rear dampers are the same. It's the standard Sierra that has dampers with a wider lower mount.
