Default Help again: Bleeding brakes

Hi just wondering the best way to bleed brakes with ap 6 pots at front and standard at back on a 4x4 saff. Ive got an easy bleed kit i picked up earlier, is it alright not doing it with ignition on using the easy bleed? Need to get a battery, or do i need to take the battery off my connect and put it in to bleed them??? Cheers Tom.

Turn ignition to positon 1 for the rear brakes as the pump is needed, open the nipple and I get someone to press the pedal to engage the pump, the fronts are done in the conventional manner.

Most "One man bleed kits" use depleted tyre pressure to operate, i.e. no electricity involved!

you can do ignition on for fronts aswell, i tend to do them with ignition on just for extra pressure. i just use a hose and a empty washing up liquid bottle with a hook on it with bit of b.fluid inside. dose the job.
Always better to have another person there to keep eye making sure no air left.
thanks

Just make sure when you do it you always make sure the reservoir has sufficent fluid, as if air gets into the ABS system it's a pain to remove!

I have never had to do it personally, I just know it's a pain once in the valve block, I believe Ford may have a "special tool"?
