Just to add to the cars main thread the dilemma of the front shocks collapsing. nearly wrote of a trye and rim. Big thanks again to all that helped and Richie for the parts.

They were only 6 years old

Thanks to all that helped and supplyed the parts and time needed to fit new Shocks and springs.
Car on a flatbed once they realised its a 4x4 after inicially sending a Merc Sprinter hoping to just lift an tow. Lowered too much lol.

The just holding on side.

Fueling up the helpers lol.

Latest plans.
Finish spraying all the chrome parts in the engine bay. Swirl pot done.
Fit MSD Wasted spark kit
Fit MSD Fan wire kit
Fit Swirlpot and get header tank top nipple thing welded on for swirlpot hose.
Change Samco radiator hoses for new ones and change the Racetech temp sender to the hot side so I will see temps above 40 degrees C now lol, as it is where the swirlpot will go. And get the right handside welded upto.

Oh by the way might have found out the cause of the rusting as I had a leaking in the seal somewhere where the door presses against the seal if you know what I mean.

Same here. I think my front diff is about to go pop or my front prop shaft is hitting the down pipe a little. Sounds awful,as its getting to the stage of being embarresing driving it around and the knocking going on and on only when driving not on over run though? and people looking lol.

Getting sooo much more tempted to go 2wd and have no more problems front drivetrain wise.

Done the second layer now of plastic-kote flat black and for the photo, and to sort of see what it will look like I put my (to fit) samco hoses on, and I think I have done a good job.

Looks well mate, what primer did you use?
I will have a swirl pot and header tank soon, and chrome/shiney is banned from my bay!

Well the latest update is this:
I forgot the MOT run out today (What a fooking dick lol and it needs some work on it to pass lol. So she is moored up for now. I am though going to get in touch with MSD and get them to fit the Wasted Spark Driver to the ECU and ask about Closed loop now I'm running a de-cat system.
The fan kit by the way is brilliant and works very well. Let's hope she's not off the road too long

Time for the cars main thread to be updated.
Well now I am back from sea, Andy and I have been busy with the welding on the Taxi.
Got involved this time lol with the wire wheel and Andy got his fun time with the Grinder again.
Heres the pics pre weld up.

Taped up floor

seat mount

sill inside front

sill outside front you can see the stereo wires lol

inside at present

under drivers side foot well

and this in the middle of the sill

Yesterday I attacked the sills with the grinder which unearth more rustytis, but it is all now ready for the new sills to be fitted which will hopefully be on Sunday.
And after the welding of the inside all is primed, and all apart from the seat mount is all tiger sealed inside as I needed to drive it lol, but will be done Sunday.
In the end a chunk of the floor below the pedals wascut out as the old one was foobared after years of jacking abuse lol.

All primed up.

Check the front UV joint on your front prop, the old type don't have a grease nipple and the heat from the exhaust fry's the joint

As you speed up the prop then runs true and the noise disappears

Mine was proper fucked

Its cheaper to get the prop joint refurbed than buy a second hand one

Got my Superior courior service (Richie) lol to deliver my T5 and what I can only describe the mintest front bumper I have seen in a long time.
Just getting quotes for it to be sprayed up along with the rear one too which is looking a little faded.
