Ford racing temp gauge fitting
i have just fitted a ford racing temp gauge to my cossie and was wondering where the best place to put the sensor as its mechanical
is there anywhere on the block that i can remove a bung and screw it into
i have both a 1/8 and 1/4 ntp fitting
or is it ok just to weld a boss onto the thermostat housing elbow
detailed pics would be appreciated

Hi Eugene mate. Mine is fitted to the side of the block, just behind the turbo and below the core plugs, to the rear of the mount there is a nut that can be taken out and the sender bulb drops straight in to read from the water jacket. You can see it in this photo, to the left of the tissue is an old cut off end of the previous one.
I had a second in the thermosat housing and you can see the mod there as well. Might still have that somewhere as I have the gen rs500 one back on now.
Cheers,
Andy
