Default Induction kit on Saph, is it ok?

I bought an induction kit for my 2.0 DOHC Saph this morning. I have fitted it and taken her out for a drive. She sounds very throaty under throttle Thing is, is she ok to have an induction kit? She has done 104,000 miles with no histroy. What worries me now is that i could be putting more stress on the engine with high mileage. I only bought it as it was reduced in Halfords.

Hi mate i had the same engine in my old sierra and i put a pipercross airfilter on mine and it was sweet as a nut mate. It sounded sweet and it went better to. The only thing that will happen is that the engine will draw in more fuel, cause the engine is sucking more air in. So the more air the engine needs the more fuel it needs. I took the cat but of my old sierra and it went better still.

A small change like this is not really going to hurt at all.
