Bd14 - standard pulley..?

Default Bd14 - standard pulley..?

i've put a bd14 inlet into my engine (7.2 cr), do i need verniers or will the standard cam pulley be ok..?

i think vernier pulley are just to fine tune the motor to get the most out of it mate so it should work with standard pulleys

im no expert so dont take my word for it but i cant see why it wouldnt work

Yes they fine tune but mine were adjusted and I got more than 18bhp extra. I do have a 14 and a 15 though so I guess that makes an extra difference. Its a lot to do with the overlap and flow once the cam gets working at higher revs... and the grind accuracy of course (only heard of that problem once tho)... plus low comp has different characteristics than standard to consider.

I guess it will work with standards but imo if you are fitting a decent cam you want to get the best out of it mate, and that means verniers.
