B&M shifter problems....fouling on tunnel wall???
Ay up people.....just been fitting a B&M short shifter to my 3dr and I seem to be having trouble with it fouling on the top of the tunnel?? Anyone else had this trouble before?? Im using a 909 gearbox mounting but cant see this being the problem as its the same as the stanard mount but with a firmer rubber being used.

you had the shortshifter and 909mount fitted the same time or was that 909mount there before?
I have the same items under my 3door, i'll have a look at it tonight.

Rinus: Fitted all parts recently...cossie been off road for year and half (its killing me not being able to use it )
Nuttin: This wasnt just touching the tunnel...it was pushing hard against it. Checked the whole underside and found no faults...in the end i had to trim the tunnel shifter hole out to clear and then I used a under bonnet trim peice (the squidgy rubber trim that seals the bulk head panel to the bonnet when its shut) to line the cut metal work and also to provide a neat and tidy seal between gearbox and tunnel whilst allowing movement for engine rock etc. Looks very tidy like that tbh....didnt like taking the tin snips to my 3dr tho
