Rattle hydraulic or bearing
Ive just noticed a rattle coming from the front of the rocker cover on my sapphire cos 4x4 its seems to be coming from behind the pulley on the right hand side could it be hydraulics or cam eny help would be great cheers

I don't think the 4x4 has cam bearings at front like 2wd has.
Most likely a lazy tappet, make sure it is coming from here and not a dry bearting in the timing belt tensioner as mine was, going tappety click click.

Spray a bit of wd40 on the tensioner mate to see if the noise changes, also is it on start up or when its hot, maybe a bearing, small end?
how old is your oil and what grade?

If you are getting any noise from the tensioner that is not caused by the rubbing timing belt, I would change it, mine was dry as hell and made a scoring sound when spun and click click when cold especially.
