please help, made a rookie error with cambelt change
hi guys
im new to this site and already need to aks for help. working on a puma 1.7 zetec. half way through a cam belt change and crank pulley locking tool slipped and i bent the crankshaft timing pin in the housing. rookie error i know. im sure you understand my frustration.
i now need to get this pin out but not entirely sure whats behind the sump cover and weather or not i can even get to the back of the pin by removing the sump. please help, im stuffed without it. thanks

your not the first and wont be the last. im not to up on the puma engine bust most others you will see the pin if you drop the sump. i take it youve tried to get the pin out but it wont? all i can suggest is take the sump off, either try and straighten the pin with some grips or snap it off. then the bolt part should come out.obviously you will need another pin to to time the engine. hope this helps
