New to here so Hello :)
Hello guys and Gals, Im Luke, I am 18 and Live in London
Not new to fords as such as my Grandad hasn't had any other brand since he started driving many many many moons ago, from MK1 lotus cortina's to escort's to capri's to XR2's etc
I haven't got the bug to stupidly modify cars and add the Halfords catalogue to them, as I like things to be standard, well with a bigger engine perhaps but looks stock on the outside etc etc
I fancied a fiesta as my first car but insurance quotes soon put a stop to that with quotes 2500 upwards so I ended getting a landrover, my other love
Ive always hankered after a Focus RS ( oldshape) but like most people I cant afford to buy one let alone insure one
So I thought Id build one as I built my landrover and built my mates Saxo, with lowering kits and spoilers ( not my cup of tea but he likes it lol)
So I am going to look about for a 2 door Focus, and insurance ( it wont be finished till I have 1 years NCB which is in october next year)
And fit a RS body kit and wheels and then a fresh coat of paint in the orginal RS. So it would look on the outside like a standard RS
Then fit Leather black bucket seats as im not too keen on the blue stripes and also leave the steering wheel as I dont like the blue one either
And that will be about it tbh, maybe some detailing to the engine, Silicone pipes, paint up a few brackets, perhaps chrome a few bits but nothing OTT.
Haven't decided what engine choice yet as I have to look into insurance a bit more first but it wont be the smallest one as it will be a daily commute/show car and once Ive put alot of time and cash into it, Ill be keeping it for a while
Question to you peoples is
Can I fit an RS Body kit fairly easily??
Many thanks
Luke

Welcome to PF.
I had a Focus as my 1st car when I was 18, just a 1.6 Zetec.
Anyway, the orignal Mk1 RS bumpers wont fit straight onto a normal Focus as the RS has wider arches.

Yes you can fit the wider arches IF you can get hold of a set of RS front wings and rear quaters , but it will not be cheap as these parts are not easy to get hold of so may be a idea to look into some fibreglass copies .
