Focus 1999 Endura-DI Acceleration Problem
Hi guys I have the following problem with my car Focus 1999 TDDI Endura-DI.
The engine struggles accelerating to 2000 RPM. Once it reaches the 2000RPM turbo charger kicks in and then acceleration goes ok.
For example if I try to start car by releasing clutch on 900-1000 RPM the car need time (about 5 seconds or more) to accelerate to 2000 RPM and then charger kick in and everything speeds up.
And if I try releasing clutch at about 2000 RPM car get speed almost instantly.
I suspect that it might be the fuel injector pump problem. I don't know it this can be due to bad Pump or EDC Module.
Also I've noticed that when pressed on acceleration pedal there is about 0.5 - 1cm of movement which don't have effect on engine RPM at all, so maybe there is problem with pedal sensor.
I want to be sure before ordering new pump that it is no something else that can make this kind of behavior. So does anyone of You have some experience with this.
