Angry Zetec Turbo T34 Turbo Mounting issues

Hi All I am just about there with the conversion but have came accross a few points I need to clear up, I am using a T34.48 on the wtandard Escort Turbo Manifold and the compressor housing is now fouling the block, just where the CPS sensor is, this means that the turbo doesn't sit flush with the manifold anymore and there is no way a hose will fit over it, Is this something anyone else has had a problem with?

The only thing I can do to resolve this is to spin the housing round so it clears it but his means that it puts the actuator arm on the piss, The only solution I can come up with is to have a t3 flange put in as a spacer and extend the manifold studs to bring the turbo out slightly but the actuator arm is at a heck of an angle although is still working. The only down side to this is that the turbo not sits in front of the thermostat housing which I can see cauing more issues

Is there an easier option than this, anyone got any suggestions as I have tried the housings in other positions to no avail and it is just the same issue.

The further forward you go the nearer the radiator your gonna be.

How is your manifold attached to the head, adapter plate or re drilled head?

Hi Stu, Using an adaptor, the manifold is deffo sitting correct and everything else is lined up properly,

Confused as to what it could be, are the s1 and s2 manifolds the same? maybe I have the wrong one?

My brother fitted a T38 to his zvh and had to spin the housing then made a new bracket for the actuator. (This is the turbo he has on now)

The Turbo Technics T38 he had on before had a even bigger housing on so he had to put a spacer in.

Its on his restro thread

Had a look through there BRAM, that custom exhaust to downpipe adaptor is sitting at my feet as we speak as I bought it off him lol,

I think i will need to use a spacer, I had a look at the custom actuator bracket and it was a no go really as it would have stuck out from the turbo further again

Would it work if you got a actuator that had a bend in it something like this

You know what mate, I think something like that could work and would relieve the stress my current actuator is under, Cant find them for sale anywhere though and £166 is a bit steep lol
