Default S2 standard ride height

Hi, got a standard 89 rst and am trying to find out what the standard ride height is. Well actually im trying to work out if I need new springs on the front. Im gonna change the shocks anyway as there is plenty of bounce but dont want to do 1 when they both need doing but at the same time dont want to spend what I dont have to. Also would it be advisable to change the top shock mount as a matter of course?

and secondly ive been told that ive a problem with my Knock sensor as when I stuff my foot down the turbo will sputter in every gear but if accelerate fairy gentle its boosts well. I know this may not be right but apparently its telling the 'brain' to cut the boost but can be removed to solve problem. Thats not my sort of thing just removing stuff wanna know why its doing this. I guess this could be many things but if you have any ideas I would be grateful.

I think it needs a tune as well would this help? Thanks in advance
