Default Escort cosworth turbo gauge "underlight"

Hi,

my gauge (turbo pressure, oil pressure, battery volt) is not lighting . I thing that there is some AC power....but I have no idea how is it working.

Can somebody explain me? Whatever I can find a problem.

Thanks!

The battery volts and boost gauge etc work from an invertor inside the clocks on the dash. If you take the clocks apart it is possible to buy a new invertor from the likes of RS components and solder a new one in.

Worth doing, otherwise you will need another set of dash clocks which will cause more agro with miles not matching and you never know if another set of clocks will fix it.

I solved this problem on 2 hours..... I re-soldered all connections on board (there was missing +12V for invertor).

I pug in all into car....it was lighting few hours and then dead.

Now when I unplug the rear connector from instruments and plug it again it will light for few hours and then get off. I must again unplug and plug the rear connetor. I tried only move with cables going out of connector (but without result).
I dont understand how disconnecting the connector can make this...

I can be wrong invertor or there is still somewhere wrong connection on DC 12V?

thanks!
