Anyone used these on the road ?

Would only be for a Sunday best / toy, but don't want to die if I get caught out in the rain

obviously you'll get more traction from a proper road tyre in wet conditions, but they're pretty good providing they have a decent amount of tread on them.
The difficulty with using track tyres on the road is not being able to get any heat in them. That being said they still grip pretty good on the roads, just obviously not to their maximum potential.

Sorry to bump this guys but could I please ask how people find the road noise on the RSR’s?
Are they much noisier than a normal road tyre?
Looking at new tyres for my escos and can’t decide between these or something like a toyo t1r etc.
The car is only used in the summer on the road

They are as quiet as a normal road tyre.

Wouldn't say they are great in the wet, only ran them on a Clio 182 tho.

I use the Yokohama ad08r on the rear of my sapph, great trippy tyre and no real noise. 215 width on an 8" rim comes up more like 225 with a big square shoulder.

Heard the AD08R is good but quite abit more ŁŁŁŁ
Only reservation is the feds only come in 225 and I run 15mm spacers so hopethey don’t catch the outer arches

I have been looking at these tyres to, thinking the same things as these questions asked above.Seem like good value when compared to the Toyo 888s or the Yoko AD08R.

Thanks. Lee.

Will feedback, car won’t be back on the road untill end of the month.
Need to remove wheel studs to fit longer ones for spacers to run the tyres, not sure how easy they will come out!

Not tried mine on the road as the car is still a long way off from finished but 235/40/17 is a bit of a squeeze and needed the crap beating out of the wheel arch lip on a 8x17 ET40

Yes I did find them slightly wider, which is a bit bizarre but I'm not complaining.

Thanks. Lee.
