Default Problem stripping Cosworth lattice wheels

Have taken my original 1989 wheels in to be refurbished but he's having a hell of a time stripping them in the acid bath. They've been in and out the bath all day and they're proving very tough. He says he's never seen anything like it. As far as I know they've never been returned before and I got the car with 30k miles on it about 20 years ago. Any thoughts?

Well, they're done and looking rather good. It took 3.5 days from the first dip to the last one coming out of the powder coating oven. Tyres back on and balanced the next day and collected and back on my car not long afterwards. Top marks to Paul Woolaway the owner of 1st Class Alloys, Lichfield (1stclassalloys.co.uk) for his dedication, communication and, above all, his high standards. Thanks Paul.

Good news in the end then mate. Would u mind me asking how much it cost? I've been quoted £250 including fitting and balancing tyres I'm providing with the wheels. Thanks

£55 plus vat per corner. (£45 plus vat for rims only) Tyres removed, wheels refurbed and tyres replaced and balanced with me delivering the wheels and tyres. He does a free 10 mile radius collection service. You can also drop off your car and he'll take it from there.
