Dodgy rev counter
Would a faulty ignition amplifier cause the rev counter to behave iradically :wall:
Its jumping all over the shop and sometimes doesn't work :wall: |
what car is it on?
probably more a case of the rev counter being wanked. I owned a car that the rev counter wouldnt work for about half an hour or so, short drives it never worked. another car i had the rev counter lied, it would read differently when it had first started working, compared to after a while. had me confused for a while until i figured that one out :? |
Its a sapphire cossie 4x4 :top:

well the rev counter only has 3 connections, 12v, earth, and a connection to the coil negative.
It works sort of, so theres 12v and earth there, and im presuming the car runs fine so it wouldnt sending a flase signal to the rev counter. u could check the continuity of the wires, check they arent giving eratic readings or something. Im almost willing to bet my jam tart on it :top: |
I'll try that cheers :top:
|
let me know how u get on ;)

I've got the same problem aswell, funny that.
I'll take your advice safe and give it a go. Cheers :top: |
