Cossie dash clocks, all one unit???

i think i may need to replace the rev counter on my 4x4 saph, is this one complete unit, i.e speedo and rev counter or can you remove them and just replace the rev counter???

antony215 25-08-2005 12:01 PM

Im sure you can just replace the rev counter like you can on the escorts

Alvyn 25-08-2005 01:48 PM

they ARE single items(so can change) in one holder(dash)

EssexBoyRacer 25-08-2005 02:33 PM

as per alvyn. :top:

oh but note that not all cossie clocks are the same! and the way they fit are different!

ok cheers, just that i noticed a rev counter unit for a 3 door on ebay and wandered if the saph had the same kind of setup. Thanks.

EssexBoyRacer 25-08-2005 09:09 PM

the 3dr clocks are quite different, the font used for the numbering is totally different to the saphs. Im not sure about the physical connections.

there are 2 different basic layouts of rev counters, they are different in the way that they attach and connect to the circuit board. i think a 3 door will be different to a sapph.

2wd sapphire rev counter connections are different to 4x4 sapphire

The rest is the same though. As I bought a set of cossie clocks off here and they turned out to be 2wd ones I think. I still managed to use the rev counter out of it and just put my speedo and temp gauges into the new clocks housing. All the loom connections were the same.

yeah i know they are the same, could have worded my post a bit better!
