Focus Auto keeps stalling! Help

Hey hopefully someone can shed some light on this, my partner has an 02 plate focus 1.6 auto that keeps stalling, it doesnt happen all the time, more so in wet weather though. Its usually when slowing down thn accelerating off at junction etc the battery light will come on then split second later car will chug lose power and stall. I have recently changed timing and aux belt, fuel and oil filters spark plugs, exhaust and lambda sensor, also when driving in bad wet weather the engine light will come on with something o2 sensor related but clears when wipe code!!

take it to a garage. Diagnosing it over the internet could lead you along a pointless trail of costs

Idle control valves are the usual culprit, along with split vacuum hoses. But as said I would get a proper diagnosis done.

Will a diagnostic machine show anything up though if theres no eml on? Cleared codes on handheld reader last time light came on

Not all dtc's will bring the light on. It's worth plugging it in to see if anything is stored.

I'd check the vacuum hose hasnt split. Mine did last year would cut out and rev on its own. They were ruined completely. Changed them with some hose I cut off the top water hose Cured it completely

by memory there is a t piece breather that splits under the inlet manifold, spray some penetration spray around it and with engine running and see if the revs drop

Had the car for a diagnostic check and come up with no faults :wall:
