Default VW SHARAN / GALAXY 03 plate Starting issue

Hi Guys,

I have decided to Join this forum because Google lead me here and i've been reading lots of different posts (so far this forum seems the best)

So my Lovely VW Sharan (Previously very reliable) Decided to suddenly have the following issue:

It starts and with 1 second cuts off so far i have tried:

Changing the Batteries in the key fob
Cleaning up the Key and key fob
Diconnecting the car main battery for around 30 minutes
Starting the car in gear and dropping the clutch straight away

No joy with any of that.

I've noticed the Door Alarm light comes on when the key is tuned and keeps flashing during starting the car and after the engine cuts out.

I havent put any fuel for around 3 days (Still just under quater of tank left) and everything has been working perfectly this issue has just randomly started.

Any help or advise would be great?? thanks

When you changed the keyfob battery you lost the immobiliser chip out of the key.

Very small glass cylinder, take the fob back off the key, take a picture inside the key opening and I will see if it is still there. But, I doubt it.

Seen it loads of times.
