Default Cosworth P8 amal/ lektron/ ecu fault

Morning guys,
I've had an issue this year with the amal/ lecktron valve not working on my big turbo escort cosworth.
i have tried 2 other valves and they did not work either.

Last year it played up at first but was then working fine.
Iam pants with electrics but done some basic fault finding.
So far;
-valve plugged in to loom- does not work As the car holds only 8 psi regardless of actuator pre load.

-valve plugged in but ground direct to battery it works/ clicks fine so know live supply is good, was thinking a break in the ground wire back to the ecu but my loom is new so found this strange.

-had time today to take another look, put 12v on the ground wire (with pin connection removed from ecu) from the Amal plug back to the ecu plug and I have 12v so no break in the ground wire etc.

-could it be an ecu pin problem? They are not bent and cannot see any obvious dry joint on pin 16 etc.

Thanks for any pointers, need it sorted so I can take the car to be set up, it runs great apart from this, with the Amal bypassed it holds boost fine but I want everything to work as it should.

Likes of MSD might be able to test it.

You could hook up a small test lamp or LED to teh two wires and run them inside the car.

If the lamp state never changes, and you've already proven there is 12v available...then yes you could suspect the ecu. ( but also confirm wiring from ecu to connector is good regardless of new loom )

Yes the low pressure side was accidently plumbed back to the manifold so both sides were pressurised.
