Default bike carbs convertion vs fuel pump: advice needed

hello everyone!

i'm swapping a "2.0 zetec silvertop (feeded with zx9r ninja 900 carbs)",
into a "1.8 cvh r2a (pierburg 2v carburettor model) ford sierra sapphire".

it shouldn't be necessary, but for more info, the whole project is described in here:
https://passionford.com/forum/restor...-thinking.html

PREMISE
i assumed that the std 1.8 cvh fuel pump should feed the carbs with the correct pressure and flow... but i've always had my doubts.

QUESTIONS: anybody knows if...
-is there any chance the zx9r carbs will work correctly with the std 1.8cvh pump?
-do i need to purchase another fuel pump for this task?
-if yes, any advice about what to buy will be very appreciated, (the cheapest one and the best quality/costs one).

(the engine already runs. i started it up "on the ground" a week ago, using a mtx bike tank...)

my way would be the cheapest one:
try first, then if the system doesn't work, buy another pump (and then, which one?), but...
...if anyone knows it's mandatory another fuel pump for the task, he/she'll save me some useful time...

also, any other random advice on this one will be gladly accepted...
thanks for reading.

yes. for that price, it is definitely a good idea buying one before the swap operation...

The standard pump would be up to the task, but you'd need to ensure it was regulated properly

You could use a Motorbike Fuel Pump, built in regulator so no need for anything else. Just need to fit it close to Fuel Tank as possible..

I dont like the redtop pump as they still need a regulator. They need mounting near the tank also.

I prefer a bike pump on the cheap or the Huco pump as sold by Webcon. It's a modern version of the su pump. You can mount it in the engine bay as they pull instead of pushing the fuel.

I've used them as a lift pump when upgrading to fuel injection as well.

that huco is a good one. a bit more expensive, but reading the specs, looks like it's really worth it.
