Default mondeo tdci expansion valve location ???

we have a 2006 mondeo tdci and need to locate the air con expansion valve ( fixed orifice tube )
having problems with over pressuring on high and low sides any help appreciated

if you are lucky it will be the one behind the drivers side headlight

if you are unlucky it will be the one underneath the drivers side wheel arch liner

i'll get a pic for you in a second

Thanks for reply but I think you mean the recharge ports ?
It's the in line expansion valve that has the filter incorporated with it ! Ford don't sell it separate (it comes with a pipe ) but Euro car parts have them at Ł4 !
Just never done one before and didn't know exactly where it is.

Nope no idea where that goes
The filter is under the wheel arch liner as well and the pipe runs from the condensor to the connector under the wing
Not sure where that part is located

shit mate i only lowered the wing liner to get to the recharge port
the expansion valve is in a pipe somewhere ??? ive got technical getting back to me so let you know ? maybe

its probably mounted on or near the evaporator

Well to help anyone out in the future it was in the pipe behind the osf strut tower,just above the ECU So Chris was right as its heading to the evaporator cheers bud

That's the new one in my hand and you can just see the orange tip of the old one inside the pipe,
Changed the expansion pipe and it still over pressured turned out to be a faulty fan control module so the air con had a service to boot
