Escort rs turbo s2 cuts out when hot
Hello guys
Can anyone help me, i have a grey escort rs turbo s2. When im driving round town or if i just leave the car to warm up on the driveway it will get upto temperature and the cooling fan will cut in and out a couple of times then the car will just cut out for no reason.
If you try restart it, it will just about start and run at about 600rpm with my foot flat on the accelerator soon as you let off it cuts out. So this leads me to beleive it's sudden under fueling issue due to heat build up in the engine bay. If your out on the open road it's fine.
After a couple of minutes it will start and run fine again until it gets hot again under the bonnet (in about another 10mins) then it does the same thing again.
The fault is replicatable everytime but you don't have long to diagnose it before it goes back to normal.
Any help would be appreciated, ive services the car (oil, oli filter, plugs, cap, rotor arm, fuel filter) and swapped the dizzy for another one but it's still the same
