Starting a car after 10 years?

Sorry its not a ford:cry:
I've acquired a ST185 Celia that has stood for 10 years, and hasn't been started in around 5
I had to save it.

Any advice or tips before I try to start it up?

check/change plugs
check/change oil
new fuel
make sure there's nothing living in the induction system and give her a whirl?

Any advice appreciated

Regards

Dean

First of all replace the Oil and filter if you can, check levels on other fluids.

if you can warm the bottom of the engine for a while with a radiant heater (no more than 1kw or you can melt stuff) to get the sump and oil it contains nice and warm. then disconnect the coil pack(s) and crank, this gets the oil partially circulating.

then you can go for it! fingers crossed. you might want to check the cam belt of the engine has one!

Best of luck

one last thing brake fluid will need replacing if you want to stop after going!

do this ^^ the only thing Id add is plugs out an turn by hand a few time just to see if things may be locked up like the rings ,if good just crank as is an if you can look into the rocker box to see that oil has made it to the top if all good plugs in an fire away!
