Fuel pressure for 45 DCOE's??

I have a 2.0 Zetec silvertop in my car with 45 DCOE carbs... what fuel pressure should I feed them with?
any help with this would be much appreciated...

normally between 4 and 6 psi

thanks for the reply. On Ebay there are some Facet fuel pumps rated at 4-6psi but obviously that is maximum.
The next one up from that is a 7-10psi pump. Im guessing it would be better to get the higher one and a regulator to drop it to 6psi for a more constant flow?

45's only need around 3 psi mate...Get a facet pump and filter king regulator and set the pressure with that

Hi yes there right i had loads of probs useing the wrong pump and reg on a ZVH with twin 40s. I bought a red top pump and yes a filter king pressure reg with the filter in and all probs sorted. I had mine set quite low then as I had it on 2 psi. Try getting them from Fuel system Enterprises (http://www.glencoeltd.co.uk/) Tell them your trade and get delivered to a local garage and it will be a lot cheaper.

I am in the trade so I wont need to fib luckily

Max 3.5 psi anymore will damage the internal floats

i used a faclet elec pump and regulator set to regulate at 3 psi on a kit car with a dohc ford engine on 45,s worked a treat like

thanks again for the help guys. 3 psi it is then.
I guess without advice that doesnt sound a lot, and with guesswork I'd have gone in too heavy handed. Time to source a pump now and get under the car again!

Sounds like a plan! I like the look of those. That'll be this months purchase then .... or as I like to think of it, an investment
