Default exhaust putty or bandage?

hey there,

just today fitted a catback on my xr4x4, had to get some reducers made to fit onto the down pipes.

anyway they fit but there is the still the smallest ever blow from them, could i get away with using a exhaust bandage or putty to seal it up?
