tdi mondeo engine in to a mk6 escort van??
Got the chance of a mondeo tdi engine and any thing else I will need as mondeo is complete! I take it that its a straight swap? Is there pleanty of clearance for intercooler as its on top on engine? I no it won't have a great affect as it won't get much cool air as on the mondeo the underbonnet sound deading aids this where van dosent have it! Will it mate to my gearbox ok? What bout exhaust do I need cat / down pipe of mondeo? Mondeo is a V reg and van is a 55 non turbo on a R reg!

iv done this conversion before, as said it will fit because the 75s are turbo diesel no intercooler tho. the intercooler will fit inplace tho. good conversion to do as the non turbo 1.8ds are as flat as hell, turn the pump and boost up a bit too while its out. thats what i did. well worth it

Yeah can't drive it any more its to slow my 44 ton truck faster! Iv just looked at a van that's been weighted in to our yard as scrap n its got the td engine in with intercooler?? It also has the under bonnet fabric to aid air to intercooler so some 75's must of had an i/c?? What do I do with mondeos airflow meter? Just leave it of and run without as I take it that mondeo has a ecu?? I'm not a diesel person so bit lost I only use van for work but slow is an understament! Thanks for your reply!
