irritating pulling issue

hello

i have recently swapped my rear wheels to my front and put part worns on the rears untill i get new tyres at the end of the month, the problem i have is i have a shaking steering wheel at about 60mph and it pulls harshly to the left?

i have taken them to get rebalanced today and still the same?

any help would be appreciated

Have you tried swapping the wheels back and seeing if the problem disappears?

i havent the thing is my original fronts i have not got anymore as i swapped them onto another car for the two that had alot better tread and hes taken that to the scrapyard now. so iv basically got my backs on the front and two from another corsa on the back?

everything was fine untill the minute i changed the wheels

If the tread varies massively between the two sets I should think this will cause issues, I assume the tyres/wheels are exactly the same sizes?

they are indeed i thought that one of them would be bent or something

I would try putting the backs on the front and vice versa, then you can eliminate the wheels as a source of trouble.

Also your tracking may be out.

I would get the wheels rebalanced and make sure they are not "out of true" on the hub. You would not necessarily notice it on the rear, but would on the front. I had the same on a Sharktooth lattice. It would balance up perfectly, but when it was spun up you could see it moving on the hub face, so the whole wheel was twisted.

well i changed my nearside front wheel for my spare today and it seems to have cured the problem? must have been bend or something. i had it rebalanced yesterday and it was still bad so must have been the rim or a mishaped tyre.

thanks for the replies
