Default The connection between ECU (Cosworth L6) and Pinto EFI

Hi you all.
I am running my Escort Mk1 by a 2.0 Pinto EFI Turbo but the connection between the ECU (Cosworth L6) and the TPS, is not perfect: At early pressure on the throttle pedal causes poor mixture, and through pedal pressed firmly, the mixture becomes very rich.
It seems that reading the TPS data by the ECU, is invalid.
Can you advice for any solution?
Thank you
Nir.

The TPS may need adjusting to the perfect position and make sure its a pf01 type version for your L6 . My advice would be to get it setup by a good recommended company and make sure the chip suits your engine . I,m sure i read once that msd could write a base map suitable for a pinto turbo on Webber

Dear opposite lock
Thank you for the information but can you inform what do you mean pf01 type?
Do you know someone that can remap my L6 or burn a chip?

Sorry DHS pf01 is a L1 and L6 TPS. I am very suprised nobody else has posted . I,m afraid my knowledge is limited . Going by your pic i didnt think to mention about what throttle body your using ? Is your TB a NON cosworth item? . If so you may need one to run the TPS although it maybe possible to use your pf01 on a different TB which i suspect yours is .
As regards to a chip for an 8valve pinto turbo engine using a L6 speak to the guys at Motorsport Developments they will advise you on what is best and i,m pretty sure can write a chip for your L6 that suits the different engine . My advice would be to email them .

edit- You also maybe better off posting this in the rs500/saph/3 door forum on here

I coulden't find a way to solve the problem, with L6.
After installing and programing the MoTeC, it is working wonderful.

You need a PF01 TPS, what the OP has is no good.

It contains a switch for it's idle strategies.

That being said, it should be possible to get it to run, so long as the scale is the same.

you would be a able to get the Webers to work fine on a pinto Turbo, but obviously a Cosworth engine Calibration would not work very well, it would need live mapping .
