healight issue's please help mot failure
 

hey everyone , i need a few quick answers to my prob , i have a mk3 fiesta base and as far as im aware the loom is un modified , it failed mot on a head light issue i.e when in first turn of the stalk side lights and "dipped" beam come on ,im told this is incorrect the rest of the light funtions fine and tbh ive never realy thought dipped being an issue

any answers please car is a 96 p reg if that makes any odds

sounds like a wire fault in the past with the dipped beam so somenes wired the dip to the side lights.

Does it have dim dip ?, in which case the headlight dip will come on at around 1/2 brightness if the ignition is turned on when the sidelights are selected, and is 100% CORRECT TO DO SO, and NOT a MOT failure.
If however the ignition is not on position 2(running) and the dips are on on sidelight setting that is wrong.

ok so with ignition off only sidelight are on sidelight option , my stalk only has two clicks on the first my sidelight and 1/2 light main come on on second main beem full and for flash push stalk forward , is this right? i know ive asked but im still abit dumb on the subject lol
