Cosworth won't start on 2wd ecu
Hi, im having problems getting my 2wd sapphire cosworth running after an engine change. This is what i've done -
It was running a 200 block,400's,t34 and the ecu is l8 so it had the top and bottom wires on the tps changed around to work with this ecu.(tps was 2wd pf01 and standard 2wd loom). This engine rattled so i've taken it out to rebuild it. I have a spare standard 2wd engine (running perfect when removed from another car 1 week ago)so have put it in to keep the car on the road. I put in the complete standard engine and the standard matching ecu and changed the wires on the tps back to the way they were originaly on the 2wd loom. problem is it wont start now!! When i switch the standard injectors to the 400's,the ecu to the l8 and changed the tps wires back to suit this ecu the car runs! (obviously cant drive it like this as its overfuelling) i have tried a few different l6 ecus with different sets of injectors and pressure regulators (changing the tps wiring each time to original to suit the l6) but still no joy! anyone got any ideas??? and thanks for any help in advance |
have you changed the map sensor to the standard one m8

yea tried the standard and the 3 bar - still no go!
any other suggestions? feels like ive been doing this al day > :wall: |
Have you checked it is sparking? If so will be a fuelling problem, does the car run standard fuel pressure or was it raised for the different injectors/stage of tune, although it should still run though.

LOL you never said you swapped the loom as well, glad it's running now.
